Cisco launches banking solutions

20.11.08

Call Centre Technology partner Cisco has launched two new retail banking solutions in conjunction with IBM which allow finance houses to interact more closely with their customers.

Optimised Self-Service and Cisco TelePresenceTM will allow banking professionals to bolster their customer contact strategy when using mobile technology.

Cisco director of marketing for financial services Paul Jameson commented that IBM and Cisco were providing its joint banking clients with "innovative offerings" which would help banks improve customer service and sales in a cost-effective manner.

"Banks may improve collaboration with customers to enhance the relationship through the delivery of more personalised products and services," he stated.

Sunny Banerjea, IBM banking industry global solutions executive, said the services could help reduce costs without distancing finance firms from their customer base.

According to research conducted by database marketer GI Insight, many banks currently underestimate the potential benefits of electronic customer relationship management technology.
