Opportunities for talented contact centre employees continue to emerge in the UK, indicating that the sector is holding up despite the recession, it has been claimed.
Trisha Pirie, deputy managing director at Mearns-based contact centre operator Journeycall said markets for a high quality UK contact centre product "continue to be robust".
She was commenting after Journeycall announced plans to launch a new recruitment drive for ten
customer service agents.
Ms Pirie added that the firm had been delighted with the consistently good quality and communication skills of contact centre staff recruited from the Aberdeenshire and Angus areas.
She stated: "It's a very strong endorsement of the work done by local schools and colleges, and I'm sure that we'll continue to get talented people of all ages joining the Journeycall team."
The firm is expanding its Brechin and Laurencekirk contact centres, with roles covering call handling and ticket fulfillment.
Last month, research from Frost & Sullivan indicated that the contact outsourcing industry is to continue to grow over the next few years.
