Agile Communication Environment
Communications enabling business processes
A developer-friendly platform that simplifies the integration of communication capabilities into applications and business processes.
Avaya ACE and Avaya Aura™ are complementary solutions: ACE extends Avaya Aura™ into a rich multi-vendor applications services framework.
ACE supports a Web Service approach, in compliance with open Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) frameworks and development environments to facilitate the development of communications-enabled applications. ACE works with multi-vendor network infrastructures (such as PBXs and video systems) through software adaptors that interface to and control these environments.
The Agile Communication Environment offers integration with UC desktop applications such as Microsoft Office Communications Server, Microsoft Outlook, Internet Explorer and IBM Lotus® Sametime® — providing a single, simple, communications-rich user interface. Agile Communication Environment can also be integrated with leading vendors’ SOA frameworks, business applications and into core business processes.
Business application developers can invoke communication functions from their own applications without contending with the complexities of the underlying telephony infrastructure.
This approach facilitates development of Communications-Enabled Business Processes (CEBP) and applications by allowing developers to concentrate on satisfying business needs. This makes the integration of communication capabilities into applications or business processes simpler using any development platform or programming language.
