Inbound Numbers

Whether you are looking to increase sales or provide a better level of customer service there is a wide choice of Geographic (01,02 & 03) and Non Geographic numbers (08XX & 09XX) available.

CCT can advise on the current and proposed legislation, price points and service options. We can supply new numbers or can port existing numbers from most Operators.

Number types include:-

• 0800/0808 - Free to call
  
• 0845 - Traditional “Local rate” number
  
• 0870 - Old “ National rate” number, now classed as geographic (01,02)
  
• 0844 - Revenue share number (Variable cost to call from 1-5ppm)
  
• 0871 - Revenue share number (Variable cost to call from 6-10ppm)
  
• 09 - Premium rate numbers
  
• 03 - new Geographic range (not associated with specific location)
  
• 01, 02 - Traditional UK Geographic area codes
  

All numbers can be provided independent of the current Line set up.

Either as simple number translation services (NTS), eg. 0800 123 000 is delivered to 01173 115 000; or can be provided with Intelligent Network (IN) features, such as:

• Web based customer portal to set up/change call plans
• Divert on busy/no answer
• Time of day/day of week routing
• Percentile, area based or hunt group routing

Reasons to consider changing number type or provider

• Regulatory changes (In 2009 Revenue share was removed from 0870 and 0845 is likely to follow suit very soon)
• Consumer resistance to 0871 numbers (due to bad press)
• New number types available - 03 numbers released, classed as Geographic but not associated with a specific location
• High cost to call 08s from mobiles – You can now provide an 01,02 or 03 number with the same functionality previously only available with a Non Geographic number
