Avaya bolsters partner training programme

11st May 2010

Avaya has announced improvements to its Connect channel training and certification programme.

Avaya has announced improvements to its Connect channel training and certification programme.

As a result of the enhancements, channel partners will be provided with more comprehensive, solutions-based training in less time.

Costs are also set to become more predictable, and most pertinently, affordable.

The new model includes a solutions-based competency model, the industry's first channel training subscription fee model and SIP Communications Architect certification.

Jeremy Butt, vice-president of worldwide channels at Avaya, said the firm's training and credentials model will enable its partners to build "a more capable, well-trained workforce at a lower investment cost".

"Since announcing the overall Avaya Connect program last year, we've seen other companies adopt a similar approach to training," he stated.

"This helps confirm that we are on the right track in offering new ways partners can benefit with higher margins, streamline sales cycles and provide better customer service."

Avaya, a major international business networking firm, is an established partner of CCT.
