Avaya customers plan to continue investing in business telecommunications over the coming year, a new study indicates.
According to research conducted by the International Avaya User Group (IAUG), 85 per cent of current clients and heritage Nortel customers plan to spend on further communications solutions over the next 12 months.
Communications investments will largely be focused on integrating existing technologies and providing support for mobile employees, the study found.
Some 70 per cent of respondents indicated a desire to invest in IP telephony, while 46 per cent said they would be budgeting for specific unified communications solutions and applications.
"Integration of diverse technologies and distributed workforces is not simply a matter of user convenience. It is critical for continued business competitiveness," said Frank Castro, member of the Board of Directors for IAUG.
"Our members see unified communications as the means to integrate their varied solutions to allow workers to be more flexible, increase productivity, drive down costs and enhance competitiveness."
A major business telecommunications provider, Avaya is also a key business partner of CCT.
