Congratulations to Marc Ripley, Orange!

On 21st April 2010 the Call Centre Management association (CCMA) held their fifteenth annual Awards Gala Dinner at the Palace Hotel Manchester.

CCT sponsored the blue riband prize – Call Centre Manager of the Year – and is proud to announce that this year’s prestigious award winner was Marc Ripley from Orange.

Ann-Marie Stagg, Chair of the Call Centre Management Association said of Marc: “He is an outstanding manager in every sense of the word and it was clear to the CCMA judges that he is insightful, innovative and that he has made a substantial difference to his call centre both in terms of process and people management. There is no doubt that Marc has had a very real impact in the Orange business and the CCMA are delighted to recognise his abilities and his outstanding leadership skills.”

The Call Centre Manager of the Year award, along with others such as Team Manager of the Year and Support Manager of the Year, was presented on stage in front of an audience of over 350 UK call centre professionals.

Winner of the Call Centre Manager of the Year Award for centres under 100 seats was Angela McLachlan from Intelenet. The CCMA judges described her as: “displaying all of the skills required by a first class call centre manager – she is not simply focused on operational delivery alone but displays care, concern and empathy of the people that she works with – a thoroughly well deserved winner.”

Richard Pinnington, Head of Marketing at CCT said “CCT has been a sponsor of the CCMA awards for the past 5 years and we are continually impressed with the commitment that Contact Centre Managers show, the difference they are making within their organisations and their overall contribution to raising standards of customer contact through UK contact centres. Congratulations to Marc and Angela for winning this year, and to all those who entered this year’s CCMA Awards.”
